Big Girl Haircut......Finally!!

Well ladies, finally Morgan's case worker has gotten Morgan's mom to allow me to cut her hair. The stipulations were that it can not be above her shoulders and I had to save all of the hair that was cut and give it to her.......gladly!!!

So, tonight we went to Miss Fay's and came out looking like a new big girl!

You can't tell much from that picture, but here is one from the back.

And here is one of her just being sassy.

I love it! It is so cute and she is so proud of her big girl haircut.

A Very Blessed Thanksgiving Indeed!!

I don't even have the words to tell all of you how blessed I was this Thanksgiving. I had a wonderful dinner with my family. I, of course, was extremely grateful for the one new family member who was with us this year. She has canged my life trememdously, and I can't even imagine my life without her in it anymore. Morgan LOVED Thanksgiving! She talked about turkey & dressing for days before it came and let me just say that the child was not disappointed when it got here! Me and my neice went to the outlet mall at midnight and we had a great time and then I went shopping with my mom, sis, neice, and Morgan on Friday. It was great, but what happened next absolutely made my Thanksgiving. I received a phone call around 9 Friday night and Madison's foster mom wanted me to keep her Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday. I was hesitant. I just have gotten to where I can talk about her or ask her case manager how she is doing. After a few minutes I decided it was worth the heartache all over just to see her!

Here she is.......

Yes, she is still adorable, and you can still drown in those deep blue eyes! Here is a picture of the girls hanging out.

And look at her cute little face! I guess I thought that I would see a toddler when I saw her because the first thing that I said was, "She looks exactly the same, only a little bigger!" They laughed!

Ahhhh, what a cutie! She was all smiles.

And just look at them together again. Morgan loved it; although, the was just a little more than a tad bit jealous! This is the girls before church this morning.

And one last close up, just because I can't resist. Just check out those two pairs of eyes! My blue eyed angels.

Well, I am sitting here with the overwhelming feeling of knowing that absolutely nothing could have made my Thanksgiving more blessed than it was. I sit here with tears in my eyes as I am typing this because, well, there is just no other way to say it but that my cup runneth over. I think that it is only in the last 10 months of having these amazing two girls in my life that I truely understand that phrase.

I hope all you girls had blessed Thanksgivings also. Have a great week!

Little Miss Cutie goes to school!!

Today was a BIG day for my "Little Miss Cutie." Today Morgan started a special needs Pre-K class at Coal Mtn Elementary. After about a month of testing we finally got her qualified under emotional needs. It is a great program. They teach at a 4 year old level so she will be learning to read also! I was hesitant at first, but I went and observed and was so impressed that I couldn't wait to get her in!

Here is a picture of Morgan in her "Little Miss Cutie" shirt and big girl backpack all ready for her first day at big girl school.
Morgan has been having a hard time the last three weeks. She is increasingly struggling with controling her emotions. The fleeting visits with her mom have been getting harder and harder on her. Now, she knows where she is going before she gets there and starts saying that she doesn't want to go. It is heartbreaking to have to make her go knowing that she is going to end up crying the entire time that she is there.

Morgan had a great day today after three long torturous weeks of emotional breakdowns. She got a great report from her school and she even answered detailed questions about her day, which she has never done before. She had me cracking up!

Everyone give it up for my Cutie! I am so proud of her!

Trunk-or-Treat

Saturday our church had their annual Fall Festival and this year they added Trunk-or-Treat to it. The whole event started off with a magician from Never Grow Up Magic. He was great and the kids loved him. Chey even got to help out with one of the tricks.
The kids loved him and he was pretty funny. I would recommend him to anyone having an event with children. Here is Chey & Morgie waiting in line for the magician to make them a balloon animal. Too cute!!
After the magician it was time for games and bucket decorating. They gave each child a bucket to decorate so that every child there would have one. I didn't get alot of pictures during games because all of the kids spent most of their time on this hill, sliding and scooting down it.
Then it was time for dinner. And then finally time for costumes and some Trunk-or-Treating. I know alot of my fellow bloggers have already revealed their kids Halloween costumes but I held out. And anyone who knows Morgan knows that this was really the only option.
Here is Miss Minnie Mouse!!!!
I mean was there really anything else. How stinkin' cute is she???? She had men taking pictures of her with their cell phones! So, once we got our costume on we went in search of Cheyenne & Israel aka Sleeping Beauty & Dracula! Maybe I am sick but this next picture is my favorite of the whole night. Izzy would put his arms up and growl at the girls and they would run sreaking at the tops of the their lungs. I laughed so hard all night long, it never got old!
This is the best picture that I got of Izzy all night long. The cutest Dracula I ever saw!!!
Here is Chey & Morgie. Are they cute or what?!?!
Let the Trunk-or-Treating begin!!!!
These were 2 of the best ones. The one above had lots of scary stuff in it even though you can't see it and someone in the backseat dressed up trying to scare the kids. They took it all in. The one below is our Pastor.
I am pretty sure that Morgan has never been Trick-or-Treating because she had no clue what to do. I was so proud of Chey, she stepped up and lead her around telling her patiently what to do all night long. She is growing up too fast!!!
Ah, it was a great night. I had never went to a Trunk-or-Treat before, but it was great and the kids had so much fun. It was a great afternoon. Before it was over Morgan was begging to go home. She said,"I want to go home. It's past my bedtime. I want to go to SleepyTown!" Yes Mam, I say.

I leave you with one more picture of my Little Minnie cause she is too stinkin' cute to resist! Oh, and check out that full bucket of candy!!!

Happy Trunk-or-Treat!!!!
