What a Morning!

Today started out pretty good actually. The girls both got up in a good mood and we were all ready to go to church. I took the girls pictures this morning because they were in such a good mood. The picture below is to prove that we actually were ALL ready to go.

I even took some of Maddie by herself since she was being all smiley.

The series of events the followed however killed the great mood of everyone in the house. First, Morgan somehow fell around the fireplace and got a bruise and bump on the side of her face. I am not sure if she actually hit the fireplace or Madison's Exersaucer, but the damage was done. So, after we took a look and decided that she was going to live.... Madison had one of her great reflux moments and puked all over herself. No big deal, we are used to this. I got another outfit out and changed her. I go to get her strapped in her carseat and she puked all over the place AGAIN. I mean both times there was not a dry stich of clothing on her. At this point I decided to call it quits and hope that God would forgive me for missing church this morning. At this point I was a little unnerved as to what might happen next!

This is a picture of Morgan eating her snack this afternoon. You can only vaguely see the bruise in the picture but it is still there AND she has a visit tomorrow. Needless to say her mother is going to have a COW!!!! Ah, the joys of fostering....... they never end.

Good thing the girls are so cute and sweet and totally make every single minute worth it!!!!

What a BIG, little girl!!!

Maddie may be small for her age but she is developmentally right on track. She is 4 1/2 months and she can now roll over both ways and has no problems getting all over the living room. She can push herself anywhere with her legs! Putting her on her Boppy is about the only way that I can get her to stay on her tummy long enough to have any real tummy time. So, here she is on her Boppy trying to get her toy.

This is what happens after a few minutes when she loses her patience and is over the whole tummy time thing....

Up and over she goes. She just pushes and pushes until she gets over the Boppy and can scoot or roll anywhere. Boy, I thought that I had months before I had to worry about her rolling all over the place or scooting anywhere! Not so much apparently!

At school they have started to put her in the Exersaucer and she loves it. She just giggles and coo's. So, I gave it up and went and bought one today, in hopes of something that would entertain her and keep her from rolling all over the place. Here she is hanging out in her new saucer.

She says, "Gee, I think that I like this spinny thing that plays music and lights up the best!"

I just sat and giggled at her in it. She looks so tiny to be sitting in something so big!

And to prove it her little feet just dangle...even on the lowest setting. But it doesn't seem to phase Maddie at all.

Well, I don't know about you gals but I sure am glad that this week is almost over. These last two weeks have been trying to say the least with the surgery and court and everything else. I hope that things calm down a little for a while now! Hope that you all have a SUPER Friday!

My Little Trooper...or should I say Princess???

Well girls, we survived the surgery yesterday. Any drama that occured was completely due to Morgan birth mother being there.....and let me tell you drama there was!!! But I won't bore you with all of that. I will tell you that my little girl is a grade A Trooper!!! I couldn't believe how good and brave she was yesterday. She marched into the operating room like she owned the place, then compared Crocs with all the docs and nurses, then she laughed at their "funny hats." They told her to get up on the table and they put the mask on her and she never wimpered or showed any hesitance......better than me...I wanted to cry for her!!!!!! Once we got back in the car she was fine. She has shown not the first sign of it phasing her at all. Just to prove it here are some pictures of her "recovery" today.
Can you say ATTITUDE?!?!?!
With a side of DIVA!!!!

Oh what the heck, just call me PRINCESS!!!!!

So, all seems to be going well here in Princess Recovery World. Hope everyone else is having a good week!

Lazy Weekend....

This last weekend me & the girls stayed in most of the time in preparation for the next 2 weeks. Morgan had her pre-op today and a visit. Tomorrow she has counseling. Wednesday morning we have to be at the Children's Center @ 6:15am for her surgeries (she is having her tongue clipped and tubes put in her ears). Friday is her and Maddie's check-ups at the Ped and Morgan has a visit. Next Monday is a pretty big court day for Morgan's case and Wednesday is Madison's 10 day hearing also. Fun times! Court is still very traumatizing for me too! So, in light of all that and the fact that it seems that we are NEVER at home we enjoyed a nice day at home on Saturday.
Maddie made a new friend.....

Both girls enjoyed watching Snow White.....well Maddie didn't watch all of it.....but I'll take every quite minute I can get!!! Morgan loved the witch.....which kinda scared me......
Here is Morgan with her new Minnie scarf and her new Mickey Mouse. She is way too obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse right now. But at least it is cute and doesn't annoy me. I took her to the Disney Store Friday night and she was in heaven.
And last but not least here are a few pics of the girls I took before we left for church Sundy morning.

And a close-up....

Wow, look at Mel she has got it together...them girls match!!! YEAH RIGHT!!!! Like I have time for coordinating outfits, but everyone at church thought that it was adorable and nicely planned. HAA, jokes on them!!!!!

Happy Independence Day!!!

Well Blogger Buds, we had a great celebration for the 4th. On the 3rd we went to Beth's work cook-out and watched the fireworks. It is great fun every year and Beth's family and friends far outnumber everyone else there. Earlier that day the girls had a 4th of July parade at their daycare. I'll have to post pics of that later.
Here are some pictures of the girls before we left in their red, white, & blue.

I am feeling Angela's pain trying to get a good picture of all 3 of hers together. I can't even get one good one of the two of mine!!!

While at the picnic Alex & Maddie became really good buds. That Alex is a cutie-pie!!!
Here is Maddie hanging out in her stroller people watching.
Morgan got a flag painted on her face and almost fell asleep while the lady was doing it!!!!

Here is a picture of the 3 of us. The girls are much more interested in the fireworks than in getting their pictures made at this point.
It was alot of fun this year seeing everything through their little eyes. I never would have thought that Madison would like the fireworks but she loved them, wouldn't take her eyes off them!
Hope everyone had a great 4th!
