Memorial Day Weekend Splash-- Part 1

Well ladies, we simply had a blast this weekend. I will have to save Saturday night for the next post, but it was my Uncle Ronnie's B-day party (Bethany's dad). We had a ton of fun. Sunday we went swimming with Bethie and Livi and then we all went shopping together. Then on Monday we went swimming again. This time with Bethie, Livi, Zach, and Molly. We all had a ball. These pictures don't need much narration so I won't bore you with too many words.
The girls seemed to feed off of each other this weekend. If we could get one to do something then the other would try it. Me and Bethie were 2 proud Mamma's this weekend.
First off, I don't want to forget Little Man. He only joined us for a little while on Sunday and then Daddy took him home out of the sun. This is the cutest pic. I won't even tell you what his hat said.....I shamed Beth so badly that she went to Target Sunday afternoon and purchased him 2 new BOY hats! Tee hee!

This is the very 1st pic I took of Morgan at the pool before she got in on Sunday. She hates the sun in her eyes and wouldn't take her hands down for anything.....however she refuses to wear sunglasses!!

Swimming in her new fish ring.
Monday Molly Polly, aka Morgan's favorite person in the whole world, went to the pool with us.

Livi took lots of breaks to get warmed up between swim times.

Me & Morgie

Livi chillin'....

Morgan swimming all by herself in the big pool with her floaties. She loved jumping in and swimming by herself. She was so proud of herself.

The kids let me take one final shot before we left for the day on Monday. They both have their new Disney swim suits on. Too cute!

Testing the water at home Monday night to see if it is wram enough to go for one last dip in her kiddie pool at home.

Hope all of you girls had a great Memorial Day weekend!

What a difference a year makes

Morgan was playing in the sandbox last night, and I couldn't help but think back to last year..... this was always one of my favorite pictures for some reason. It is still hanging on my wall at work.
Look at her chubby little face in this one...

I went digging for these pictures last night after Morgan went to bed to compare to the ones that I took of her that night. Here are the new ones.
And her close-up...
And about all I have to say about this is .......just exactly where did my baby go???? Where did all of that baby fat go......my chubby cheeks??? Boo Hoo...... It seems clearer and clearer every day that Miss Morgan is now a little girl instead of my baby. So sad.........
I have a video to post to....will try to get that up soon.

Caught Up.....almost

Last weekend me & Morgan spent all day Saturday with Bethie, Livi, and Zach. We rarely get to do this anymore so it was a real treat. We did a little shopping then headed home to Bethie's house. Me and Beth bribed the kids to take a nap by telling them that they could play in the new bounce house if they did. What a treat....all the kids went down for naps and me and Bethie got to sit on the couch and watch 27 Dresses.......we thought that we were in heaven!!!!
When the kids got up we went outside and blew up their treat. This was a great buy on Bethie's part as it is instant fun! Even little Zach loved it! (Beth needs to watch out cause Mel Mel wants to eat Zachie's cute fat feet!!!!)

Beth tried to tell the girls that those little holes were cup holders.....they didn't fall for it.

Zach loved just going in and out, in and out over and over again. He got really good at it too...... just look at those chunky little feet.....

Livi taking a break....

My little monkey...... I love this pic!

Me and my tired little monkey after she was all jumped out. We both look rough!

We went back in and the girls decided to play dress up. Just call this one...

Two Pink Princesses........

As you might have figured out by now.....the girls matched that day. Me and Beth had bought them these shirts a few weeks ago and decided to let them both wear it that day so that they would match......too cute!!! Best Friends, mine and Bethie's dream for our little ones!

Both of whom are perfect little DIVA'S......what is so funny is that both girls did this without any prompting or knowing that the other one was doing it too!

This is my favorite picture of the girls from that day.

The shirt says it all.....

BEST FRIENDS RULE!!!!!

A walk with Papa Clay

I don't think that I have to say a whole lot about these pictures. My mom & dad had been telling me that when my Papa comes down to their house to see Morgan that she thinks she has to walk him back home. I hadn't seen it but was just dying to......luckily Friday I had my camera when I got to experience it the first time.
In this one you can see my Papa pointing at something. I can just hear him telling her about some bird or flower that they are looking at.
And Morgan obviously loves her Papa Clay.

Funny thing is that Papa walks Morgan back down too!

Ahhhh, just makes my heart melt. I made this trek many, many times in my childhood myself. Summers were for going to Mema & Papa's first thing in the morning.....cause they would give you coffee and make you feel like a grown-up....even though it was just milk with a tinge of coffee in it! And then you got to play Uno and school with Mema and checkers with Papa. And Mema ALWAYS had biscuits......and everyone knows that my Mema made the BEST biscuits ever!!! So, it makes my heart swell to see Morgan loving her Papa so fiercely that she feels she has to walk him home.

Too sweet!!!

Mother's Day Tea

Friday was Mother's Day Tea at Morgan's school and it was soooo fun! They started by singing about six songs. This is the one that made me laugh almost hysterically.....you'll see why at the end!

This was the last song and it got me. She was definitely pulling at the 'ole heart strings...

After the songs we had donuts and juice and they had made a whole little slideshow set to music of all of the pictures that they had made of the kids this whole year. It was too stinkin' cute!!!

And we got presents which I guess I should have taken pictures of but I didn't. They made us aprons which are adorable with their handprints making a flower and a trivet that they made a picture on. By the time that I left I had tears in my eyes. Mother's Day is very special to me because I waited a long time to have a little one and I cherish every moment of it!

I hope that all of you ladies have a fabulous Mother's Day.

p.s. stay tuned because I have like 5 more blogs on my camera just waiting....

Morning Fashion Show

This morning Morgan looked so cute I told her that I wanted to take her picture before we went to get on the bus. Well, of course, that produced an all out fashion show! If there is one thing that this little one knows.....it is how to work the camera!

First I got this.....

Then she really started working it and came out with this.... Tyra would be so proud!!!

After about 15 shots and me saying "Morgie, really honey, can you just stand there and smile, PUH-LEASE?!?!" I finally got a "normal" one.

She does have a way of starting my day off right. And then, after the fashion show she even made sure that I got my morning exercise in by dragging (and I do mean this literally) me to the bus stop. Always looking out for me. In Morgie's own words, "Cause I care about you Mommy."
Sigh.....it is a good life!
