Spring Activities Kick-off

Saturday we got up bright and early to go to the parade for all the Summer League teams. It stopped raining in time thank goodness!! Here are the 3 little monkeys hanging out before the parade started. I think Iz Man is proclaiming himself #1, or a loser for hanging out with girls. Teehee!

Here is the very start of the parade as it starts coming our way.

Of course, Morgan wouldn't even look at us. John John had to stop her and get her to turn around and wave. Hello, does this girl know nothing of photo ops?!?! And notice that she is carrying Giselle with her....total girl!!!!

Once the parade was over they all went to a soccer field for opening ceremonies. Here is Morgan with what few of the instructional league players that showed up...and she was the only little girl. So, she definitely stood out in her pink!
Here she is in all her pinkness pouting because she tripped and fell and Giselle got wet. She was not very happy about that!
What a rough day for a little girl. One little girl in the middle of all of those boys AND her only gal pal got wet......Oh, the drama....and all you ladies out there with little girls......you know what I am talking about with the drama!

Play Ball!!!

Well ladies, today is a day that I have waited for a long time.....the day that I have a child playing ball! I signed Morgan up for an instructional t-ball league. I thought that it would be more for my amusement than anything, BUT Morgan did really good. I was sooo proud of her! She listened and did everything that they told her too! This is great since Morgan refuses to call her glove anything except "my t-ball thang." Too cute!!!

Morgan's group started with fielding. Morgan's idea of this is to put her glove on the ground and if the ball comes to her great......if it doesn't.....then someone else can go chase it.

After fielding then Morgan's group moved to hitting, which most of the kids were really excited about. I think this picture speaks for itself though... The bat weighed more than Morgan and she could barely hold it up....trying to swing it was hilarious!

After hitting they moved on to base running. Here is a picture of Morgan standing on 2nd base.

Izzy is playing in this league also, but all of the boys played on another field. I went over at one point to take some pictures for Lissa and see how Iz Man was doing. I think that his ball uniform says it all. The boy was decked in sliding pants, cleats, a new hat, AND he had his own bat bag! He looked like a Pro!

Here is Iz running the bases.

The cutest story with this pic. The men were, of course, being more grown up in their directions with the little boys than they were with the little girls. So, as Izzy goes running to 1st base they tell him to run to 2nd and he goes but never touches the base. One of the helpers goes over and tells him that you have to touch every base when you go by. Iz goes back and starts all over and every time that he gets to a base he stops reached down and touches it with his hand! Too cute!!! Everyone was laughing so hard.

And of course it just wouldn't be right if a boy didn't have some quality time in the red dirt!!

Here is a cute pic of the cousins together.

I couldn't resist showing a picture of the back of the kids ball shirts. They are adorable!

That is my wrap-up of the 1st practice, but will probably be getting many more updates! Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

Weekend Recap

We didn't really do too much exciting stuff this weekend, but we did have an eventful Friday. Morgan had an early visit, so I left work early to pick her up. We went to the YMCA and tried to sign her up for swimming lessons (that is a whole story in itself!). Then we went back to Nana's and took some pictures with her cherry tree and Mema's flowers. We did the same last year so I guess this will be a tradition. We have tons of pictures of our family in front of Mema & Papa's house with the flowers, so last year I really wanted to get some of Morgan too.
Here she is in the cherry tree. (Same warning as before My mom's arm was cropped out of the pic and she is literally on 2 ft off the ground.)
And these are Mema's azelea bushes in the front of the house. I LOVE these pics!
Morgie taking a smell of them.
Then we were off to celebrate Cheyenne's 5th birthday (I can't believe that she is 5!!!!) Here is the birthday girl with her matching Bitty Twin. I converted another one to the American Girl side of life. Ha ha!!!! Her Mom was convinced that she wouldn't like the store, but Chey proved her wrong and now she is the third cousin to get the Bitty Twins set. They are irresistable (trust me Ang!!)
What a corny smile Chey! Oh, and the poor thing had an allergic reaction that day too, she looked pitiful!
And here is the birthday girl with her Tinkerbell cake. This face says enough already, let's dig in!!

What a BIG girl!!!

A lovely Spring Day!!

The weather was so nice Sunday that I couldn't resist taking Morgan to the park. On top of being cold, rainy, and dreary lately, she has also been kept away from the playground because of her arm. I braved it Sunday and just kept my eye on her really closely. She had a blast. Our park has all of these little rocker toys and she would get on one for about 5 seconds then hop off and run to the next on....over and over.

I could barely keep up with her. I am not really overprotective (or at least I tell myself that I am not!), but with that many kids around I am too scared to be one of those parents that sits on the bench and reads while their kids play. So, we were all over the place.

Thankfully my sister, my mom, and Molly came a little later and Molly Polly got to do the chasing for a while! I will leave you with my favorite picture of the day and a wish for the nice Spring weather to stick around.
