Morgan is going to her first dance on Friday night. I am not creative at all when it come to little girl hair styles(or mine for that matter). So, we went to Sweet and Sassy and I was going to let her get her hair done there for the dance. Well, they only had one stylist appointment for far too late or they said that you could get a party style anytime. For those of you that haven't been... that means a 15 year old girl will do your childs hair with no combs/brushes, about 500 bobby pins, and a ton of glitter and hairspray. I politely declined. I had saw where someone posted a mom doing a childs hair in a braid on YouTube..... Well, of course, I went and checked it out. Found one that I thought would be cute and watched it about 3 times. Called Little Miss into the bathroom and tried it. After a few starts and with dry hair, while it clearly says to do this on wet hair.......I did get a somewhat messy version of it completed. This is our 1st try...

It is by no means perfect, but I have to say I was impressed with myself. I mean I can't even do a french braid, haha.

This is the other side. Her hair is a little long to do the spiky/messy offcenter bun. I thought for the dance we would just leave it hanging in a ponytail.
She acted like she loved it. So, I took pics and showed them to a few people. They all said they liked it. Then I get to my mom's house to pick Morgan up the next afternoon and show my mom the pictures. She dies laughing....I'm like, "Is it THAT bad?!?!" She responds, "No, I like it, really I do.......But Morgan doesn't. She told us it didn't match her outfit." WHAT?!?!?!
Are you kidding me??? She says she thinks that she can just wear a ponytail to the dance. Oh my goodness this girl keeps me on my toes!
