Pig-Tailed Fun!!!

This weekend was so nice. We spent most of Saturday outside. Morgan got to play with her bubbles and golf clubs for the first time. Although, she doesn't like for anything to get on her.......so the bubbles were hilarious! She didn't like it if they dripped on her and if they popped on her she would say, "They wet, they wet!!!!"

Here she is taking a rest on her ball. Look at those cute piggy-tails!

I converted Morgan's little riding toy to a scooter. I had my doubts that she could do it, but I decided to show her how and just see if she could. As you can see below, she had no trouble. Of course, she had some much needed help from her little tongue sticking out in some major concentration!

This is my favorite picture from all of Saturday. She was propped up on her ball watching some good 'ole tv. What a CUTIE-PA-TOOTIE!!!!!!

A Best Buy!

Last week I met Beth at a consignment sale in Cumming. I didn't find any clothes or anything but I did buy Morgan a new toy. I got her a Sit-N-Spin! It was only $5!!! AND she LOVES it! It is the first thing that she runs for when we walk in every afternoon. She has found every possible was to sit on it also.

As you can see she started off pretty calm.

Then she decided that she would lay on it and kick herself around using her feet on the floor.

Then she decided that she would ride for a while and fall down while proclaiming, "Oops, I fall!!!!"

Then she got SUPER DUPER talented and figured out that she could spin, give baby a ride, AND suck her thumb at the same time! How talented!

I just love it when kids like the same toys as we did when we were kids. It doesn't make me feel so old I guess. As I was thinking this I thought I did have one when I was a kid didn't I?????? Hmmmm......

Oh yeah......I DID! This none other than me & Bethie!!!! Bethie Pooh look how little you were!

A Day of First...

Yesterday Morgan topped off her weekend of many first with two new ones on Sunday. She wore her first BIG girl pull-up.

And she kept it dry might I add. She will go to the potty if you ask her, but she won't tell you yet.

Then, to top off all the very first things that she did this weekend, she slept in her BIG girl bed for the very first night. Before she went to bed I went and explained to her that she was going to sleep in a big girls bed tonight and let her sit on it to get used to the idea.

She throws her hand up and says what the heck I'll try it!

Now, of course, like any camera crazed Mommy I had to go back in there after story time, prayers, and after she was fast asleep to get some pics of her sleeping in her bed for the first night.

Snug as A Bug in A Rug!

I just LOVE watching her sleep. I don't think that I ever fully understood the fasination until I got her.

Now, I know that all of these things don't seem very big for a little girl 3 months shy of her third birthday, but these are HUGE for Morgan. She has changed so much and absorbed and learned so much since I got her six weeks ago. The night that they brought her she literally had no verbal communication skills. But now she is starting to improve and she sings lots of songs, and knows her ABC's, AND she can count to 10! She continues to amaze her Me-Me daily that is for sure!

Adoption Par-Tay!!!!

Our family had an adoption party for John, Melissa, Cheyenne, & Israel today. It was great. My dad has 7 brothers & sisters so I have LOTS of cousins! And for the first time in many years almost every single one of the family was there. The kids had an awesome time playing together.
They even had fun with Uncle James. Now you would have to be in our family to get how hilarious this is. Me and all of my cousins were terrified of James because he pestered the crud out of us. But this new generation of Gravitt's... well they LOVE him and here is the evidence!
The kids were in rare form indeed with so many playmates. Here are a few of the best shots....

Here is Chey-Che just a swingin'!

And this is Izzy AKA the Littlest Escape Artist!

Livi still insists that you slide from the bottom up!

And this is my Cutie Pie, Miss Morgan!

The kiddies loved the balloons.(Olivia, Austin, & Morgan)

And finally here is the happy family. Lissa, Chey, Izzy, & Budro!

Today was a great day spent with my GI-NORMOUS family and we loved every single minute!

A Date with the Easter Bunny

Saturday was a pretty great day for Miss Morgan. Me & my Mom took her to JCPenney to have her Easter pictures made. Can I just say that I definitely have a ham on my hands! I couldn't believe that she did so great. She did everything the photographer asked her to. The pictures turned out great and I can't wait to get them back. On our stroll through the mall we saw none other but the Easter Bunny! Morgan loved him! They were playing peek-a-boo together and blowing each other kisses. I asked her if she wanted to sit in his lap and have her picture taken........to which she replied "YEAH!!!!" with clapping hands. So, we lead her into him and she refuses to sit in his lap. I put her on his lap but she wouldn't smile, but hey she didn't cry either. This was the best picture, I thought that it was cute.

She has a tight hold on her pink bunny and wouldn't take her fingers out of her mouth. Needless to say after we got out of the Bunny's lap she went back to playing with him. What are ya going to do? I was suprised that she even wanted to sit in his lap!

Then we went off to the good 'ole carousel. I let Morgan pick her horse and she had a blast. I was upset that I didn't have my camera with me because she was hugging the horse and squealing with delight the whole time.

All in all a great Saturday for Morgan, with lots of first in her life too!

My First Playdate

Today was such a nice day that all of us girls decided to meet at Central Park and let the kids play. It was Morgan's first offical playdate with the whole gang. I was so excited.
Luke & Morgan get started on the swings. Luke is such a cutie!!!! He gets cuter every time I see him!

After the swings we moved onto the slides. Everyone has their own unique way of coming down!

Livi is a feet first on your belly type of gal!

Morgan never came down the same way twice. My biggest problem was getting her to sit down before she slide!

Kade spent most of the time being Livi & Morgan's personal tour guide. What a great little man!

We did find one thing that all of the kiddies could do together.

Except poor little Alex who just had to lounge and watch....how precious is she???

The girls decide to take a break and check each other out. I don't get to see my Livi Lou as much as I used to and it seems she had grown 2 bushels since I saw her 2 weeks ago!

After all of that fun and no nap.....we found Morgan trying to take a nap on a bench up in the playset....can you believe her!?!?! The girl is shameless when it comes to her sleep!

This is a view from the outside......and that is Kade saying, "Morgan, get up let's slide. Morgan get up!" To no avail, poor Kade.

After all of that, one extremely hot little baby (Alex), two escape attempts (per Morgan & Livi), and Morgan's deciding to bed down and go to sleep......we packed up the kids and called it a day. A very good day with good friends. Me & Morgan love you guys and we had a great time!!!

This has been a really great week for Morgan. She has continued to feel better and she has been such a good girl. She has made so much progress that sometimes I can't even believe it. She is a completely different child compared to 4 weeks ago when she came. This afternoon her 2 caseworkers came for their monthly visit. They were amazed at her progress and repeated over and over that they couldn't believe the difference in her. I am so proud of her! They also said that the case isn't looking so cut and dry anymore and that Morgan will probably be here for a while. So, the court case on the 10th of April isn't looking as important as it was a few weeks ago.
We had some time before they got here this afternoon so I decided to take Morgan outside for a stroll. This is her before we went out.....Isn't she a Doll??

She found a dandelion and just couldn't figure out what to do with them.

She is pretty fasinated by them and continues to pick every one that she can find.

I just love this picture. I seem to get the best pictures of her when I take her outside and just follow her around. She will not pose for pictures.

Since we had time left I decided to use it to pull some weeds in the flower beds. I got Morgan out a riding toy to play with, and she loved it!

She rode all over the drive way a zillion times just giggling and laughing. Well, I am off to watch some tv and relax. Have a great weekend blogger buddies!
