Visit to Santa & Christmas Pics

Well, this is going to be a post full of pics. I had a couple of days off last week and it was a good thing! I ended up looking at another school for Morgan one day and having a conference with her teacher another and Friday we headed to the mall to see Santa. Morgan was sooo excited she could hardly stand it! Here are some pics of her from Friday.

Too cute!!! And believe me she knows it! She heard it so many times that day that she started answering Yes when people would say "do you know how beautiful you are?"

Yep, I would say that she knows it!

She loves Santa.....I mean L-O-V-E-S him! Here are a few of the pics that I snapped while she was sitting with him. I hope that she is telling him that she wants a kitchen and not a horse!! I seriously want to have a pre-parent meeting so that he knows horses will not fit down our chimney...wink wink!!!

And I just love this one! I almost like it better than the one that they took for me.

When I went to get Morgan off of his lap Santa looked at me and said "It just doesn't get more perfect than that." Well Santa I for one would have to agree!!! She worries about Santa too. She will be playing and all of a sudden will run over and ask "Mommy, we got food for Santa right?" When I respond yes she says "and the reindeers too right, mommy?" Of course sweetie! Then tonight I told her that it was going to be cold to stay under the covers so Jack Frost wouldn't get her she said, "Santa won't get cold right Mommy?" How sweet!!!

Moving on, these are some of her Christmas pics that I had made earlier. I don't know why I haven't posted them yet. They turned out pretty good considering this is that day that she started to get sick and was diagnosed the next day with pneumonia! Her little eyes look sick in this one.

This was my favorite for some reason. I liked that she was standing up.

And then this one was too cute for me to resist also.

If you guys are still reading at this point......Have a great week!!!!

Our 1st Christmas Party

Saturday we had the DFACS Christmas Party. I kind of dreaded going, but it proved to be a great time. They had giant gingerbread men at the door. Of course, I couldn't get Morgan to be still for a pic.

Then they had crafts and cookie decorating to entertain the kids. Morgan decorated one ornament and then it was off to decorate cookies. They gave each kid 2 cookies and there was all kinds of icing and sprinkles also. Morgan took a bite before she ever started decorating. Everyone there has been told the stories of the eater that she is so they were all on the floor laughing. Here she is hard at work.

And then of course she had to taste the finished product....who are we kidding she polished both of the cookies off!

After that they started screaming that Santa was almost there and all the kids went running outside. Ok, here is where I regret that I was talking and forgot my camera....cause Santa arrived with a police escort in a Corvette!!!! I was cracking up.

After Morgan waited, not so patiently, in line to sit in the jolly ole man's lap she finally got to the front. Where they handed her this HUGE stocking with her name on it....seriously it was bigger than her! Let me see if I can remember everything in it...an Old Navy hat, mittens, house shoes, and stuffed penguin. There was also a blanket, a baby doll, Hello Kitty purse, and Candy Land!

Then, her wait paid off she got to see Santa.

Finally she says! I am sure at this exact minute she is telling him that she wants a kitchen......and a horse. Yes, I said a horse. And she does mean a real one. What I can only hope is that Santa told her the same thing that I do. A horse will not fit on the sleigh or down the chimney!!!!

We did get to see little Madison again. Her foster parents recently got a little boy too. His name is Triston and boy was he a cutie! Here is a pic of the girls that we took.

Then we got this shot before we left. This is one of Morgan's most favorite people in the whole world, Miss Casi. Casi is Morgan's case worker and we love her to death! You can probably tell by Morgie's smile that she adores Miss Casi.

Me and Morgie had a great time...well except for those tantrums that she threw waiting on her turn to see Santa!

Big Girl Haircut......Finally!!

Well ladies, finally Morgan's case worker has gotten Morgan's mom to allow me to cut her hair. The stipulations were that it can not be above her shoulders and I had to save all of the hair that was cut and give it to her.......gladly!!!

So, tonight we went to Miss Fay's and came out looking like a new big girl!

You can't tell much from that picture, but here is one from the back.

And here is one of her just being sassy.

I love it! It is so cute and she is so proud of her big girl haircut.

A Very Blessed Thanksgiving Indeed!!

I don't even have the words to tell all of you how blessed I was this Thanksgiving. I had a wonderful dinner with my family. I, of course, was extremely grateful for the one new family member who was with us this year. She has canged my life trememdously, and I can't even imagine my life without her in it anymore. Morgan LOVED Thanksgiving! She talked about turkey & dressing for days before it came and let me just say that the child was not disappointed when it got here! Me and my neice went to the outlet mall at midnight and we had a great time and then I went shopping with my mom, sis, neice, and Morgan on Friday. It was great, but what happened next absolutely made my Thanksgiving. I received a phone call around 9 Friday night and Madison's foster mom wanted me to keep her Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday. I was hesitant. I just have gotten to where I can talk about her or ask her case manager how she is doing. After a few minutes I decided it was worth the heartache all over just to see her!

Here she is.......

Yes, she is still adorable, and you can still drown in those deep blue eyes! Here is a picture of the girls hanging out.

And look at her cute little face! I guess I thought that I would see a toddler when I saw her because the first thing that I said was, "She looks exactly the same, only a little bigger!" They laughed!

Ahhhh, what a cutie! She was all smiles.

And just look at them together again. Morgan loved it; although, the was just a little more than a tad bit jealous! This is the girls before church this morning.

And one last close up, just because I can't resist. Just check out those two pairs of eyes! My blue eyed angels.

Well, I am sitting here with the overwhelming feeling of knowing that absolutely nothing could have made my Thanksgiving more blessed than it was. I sit here with tears in my eyes as I am typing this because, well, there is just no other way to say it but that my cup runneth over. I think that it is only in the last 10 months of having these amazing two girls in my life that I truely understand that phrase.

I hope all you girls had blessed Thanksgivings also. Have a great week!

Sass-a-frass!!!

Yep, that is Morgan's new nickname. She is one sassy little girl lately.
