Wordless Wednesday

I have decided to start doing Wordless Wednesdays on my blog, for a while anyway. Sometimes you don't need long stories or narrations to go with your pics because we all know what they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Enjoy!

New BIG Toy

After weeks and weeks of seemingly trying to work out the details Morgan has a new toy.....a BIG new toy that sits proudly in our backyard. A new swing set.

My sisters' boss gave this to us. Not only did they give it to us, but they delivered it and her husband put it together. HOW SWEET! We are so immensely thankful! Morgan loves it.

This is her getting her first swing with Nana.

I love it too. Nothing has ever captivated this much of Morgan's attention before outside. She played and played and then played some more, all weekend long!

Molly was there also. She took a swing with Morgan. Morgan's 2 favorite things, Molly & the swing set. Pure Joy!!!

This is one of Morgan's favorite things to do on the swings.....

Let's be honest, who out there can't remember doing this as a child????

We had a great weekend. Here is one last picture. I'll throw it in just because it is cute! Morgan insisted that I take her picture with all of her babies.

What a cute little Mommy!!!!

p.s. No time to proof read...Jon & Kate Plus 8 is on. Sorry for any mistakes, hee hee.

4th of July Festivities

This might be a long one girls. We started celebrating the 4th on the 3rd! Morgan's day care always has a parade. They load all of the kids into floats and people bring old cars and they usually have firetrucks and police. This year the firetrucks weren't allowed to come to recreational activities due to gas prices! Here is a pic of Morgan in her float with her class.

Morgan with the General Lee, and yes it was complete with the redneck horn!

They had a snow cone truck there for the kids to enjoy. And boy did Morgan enjoy it! Here she is with her flavor of choice, Tutti Frutti.

One of the classes had made this huge flag with their hands. It was too cute not to take a picture of...complete with the Diva herself!

Me & Morgie before she went home with Nana and I headed back to work.

After I got off that afternoon we headed to the fairgrounds for fireworks. Morgan had a great time with her cousins. (L to R, Isreal, Morgie, Cheyenne, Anna)

They got to take rides on all of the huge inflatables together and they loved it. So much giggling...

And they got to go thru an obstacle course. We laughed so hard as we followed them around the outside watching them. Ah to be 4 again!

We topped the night off with fireworks. Went home late and got up early the next morning to go to the annual Steam Engine parade in town. Our picture at the parade. I am trying to get better about getting our pictures made together!

We got there about 45 minutes before it started and it was a long wait. I heard every complaint from I'm hungy, I'm thirsty, I'm tired, I'm sleepy, I'm hot, and I'm sweating.....and a few others but those were the most consistant. Here is Morgie and Molly between breakdowns...again before the parade started. Love Molly's shirt. It reads "Hot as a Firecracker!"

And these steam engines are loud too! So there was lots of this going on.....

And then finally this.....FINALLY the parade is starting....and we have added cotton to the ears by this point too.

This is a video of the first steam engine....really the only one that I have ever liked. (Sorry I had to link it. I can't get it to work right and I'm tired of messing with it.)

After that one, it just got really loud and HOT! Morgan got a little nervous. Below is classic Morgan in "I am SOOO about to lose it!" mode complete with rubbing on the clothing, poor thing!

As the engines and floats go by they all throw candy. Every time that Morgan put candy in her bag she had to check to make sure it was all still in there.

She was much happier after I gave in and let her have a sucker 'cause that is what I am....a big sucker! Besides it was a quick save from the above mentioned near meltdown!

We left about 45 minutes into the parade and it still wasn't half over. We walked about 10 feet down and look who we found.... Iz Man!!!!

Well I know that this one has been long but I had tons of pictures covering 2 days worth of events and it was really hard narrowing down from 200+ pictures. I leave you with 2 of my favorites of Morgan.

My little Miss Independent!!!!

Hope that all of you girlies had a great 4th with your families too! Love ya!

Baby Central...need childcare??

I thought that these were too cute not to share. Morgan has literally turned my house into baby central. Everything is for babies. EVERYTHING!!!

Case in point....I give you my front room.

This is where all of Morgan's strollers and doll carriers stay parked.....well when the living room is already full of babies and high chairs! She has 2 strollers already and when we go somewhere and I let her pick something to get she still says, "but not another stroller right, Mommy??" This is her way of saying please, JUST 1 MORE!!! I calmly state for the zillionth time that she already has 1 double stroller, an umbrella stroller, and a cart and remind her that she doesn't need another. Then she pouts and informs me that she really needs "just 1 more." Ughh.....

I will say that she does put all of her baby toys to good use. The other day she had been in her room for a while and was really quite.....I know....this is never good. When I go in I see this.

Just looks like babies are everywhere right??? I immediately got it! Now can you see what she is doing......

Morgan had gathered all of her babies and put them down for nap time. They are all lying on their tummies, and she used all of the little blankies that she has to cover them. Then she was moving around taking turns patting them all to sleep.

Oh Vey, but the girl tugs my heart strings! I tell her all the time that she is going to be a great mommy someday to which she promptly informs me that she is already mommy to her babies just like I am mommy to her. Like I say repeatedly My Cup Runneth Over and I am greatful every single day, good AND bad, to be a part of this little one's life!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to.....

You would cry too if it happened to you!!!

That pretty much sums up Morgie's 4th birthday party. She woke up that morning and I noticed that her body was warm. I took her temp and it was really low grade. She said that she felt fine and she acted fine. So, we got ready, ate breakfast, and I took her to my mom's house while I went and picked everything up and got ready. Mom brought Morgan over about 30 minutes before the party started and she was good. We took some pics of her with the cake (she is holding up 4 fingers).

She played in the Jump House with Angela's kids and Bitty Baby.

She even gave Bitty a gymnastics lesson!

We got pics of her with her Minnie ears on...

And a pic of us together, since we have none!

Love her! My cup runneth over!

Very soon after these pictures were taken it went severely downhill, about the time that the guests were arriving. Oh, it was horrible. Goodness only knows what her temp was, but she was burning up to the touch. We got some Tylenol in her and this is what most of the party looked like.

She was pitiful. After about an hour I guess the medicine started to take effect a little. I got her to say that we could do cake. She was alright until they started singing. Then this happened....

COMPLETE meltdown! Needless to say there was NO singing! She wouldn't eat anything and I thought that we were just going to have to pack the presents up and let her open them later. Finally, I got her to open just one. This one was lovely and decorated by Miss Cheyenne! The present was pretty cool too!

Look how red her little face is.....so pitiful! Then the next one was the best present ever!

It was a little horse in a carrying case with a brush and food. Do any of you remember that all Morgan wanted for christmas was a horse? Well, she again told Bethie that was what she wanted for her birthday. Only Bethie could come up with a present this good. She got Morgan a 1 hr riding lesson! All I have heard since then is "I want to go see the horsey, when are we gonna go see the horsey???" That Bethie is too too good for her own sake!

After that she opened the rest of her presents as long as I let her sit in my lap.

She got lots of art stuff and books. She is really into drawing and always has loved books. And lots of other great gifts. She racked up! She got a really cute sticker book below as part of her gift from Angela and her gang. You use these re-usable stickers to dress the princesses with. She loves it!

And, we got to give Triston his birthday present. Poor boy, his birthday party got interrupted by the tornadoes that went through a couple of months ago. Needless to say, we didn't make it. He is so cute. He is also a foster child. DFCS wants to make posters and use Morgan & Triston as their poster kids. They say with these two they should be able to rake in some foster parents!

Look how stinkin' cute they are~!

As everyone was leaving Morgan really started perking up and wanted her dress on. So, we took a picture of her, Molly, and Livi with their Minnie ears.

We came home and Morgan took a nap and woke up feeling great. She played with her balloons and all of her new toys for the rest of the day!

What a day! All in all Morgan never seemed upset like she felt that she missed her party or anything. She still talks about it and says her favorite part, of course, was the Minnie Mouse cake and pupcakes....even though she never ate any of it!

Well girls, that finally concludes the 4th birthday bash....2 weeks later! Happy Wednesday!

Friday the 13th....Happy Birthday Morgan!!!

Finally, I am posting pics of Morgan's actual birthday, the 13th....Friday the 13th no less. I can remember Bethie being mortified that Olivia was born on the 13th because of that exact sinario...and I made fun of her! Karma bits! Actually it wasn't quite as bad as I expected. I had a nice surprise for Morgan when she woke up, or should I say when I woke her up! I had blown up a zillion balloons and put them in the living room with a bag full of goodies. Unfortunately, I don't have those pics here at work. She loved it! Then I had to take her to a visit with her mother, aunt, and some uncle that she has never seen....don't ask.... I am just now getting over how that was allowed! Luckily she rebounded quite nicely and we did a little shopping for her party the next day. Then we went home and played. It was the most mellow day that I was off, and it was quite nice. We both enjoyed staying at home and playing.

We played dress up...

We danced and sang with Morgan's princess cd player. And then Morgan went into a riveting game of peek-a-boo!

I see you!!!!

Later in the afternoon Nana & Papa came over and gave Morgan part of her present....as Morgan calls it....a Princess Cheerleader Scooter!!!!

Then my sister and niece came over and they hit the pool. My niece is such a good sport and loves playing with Morgan....even in a kiddie pool! God Bless her, but they are CUTE!!!

We also tried out Morgan's new whale slide/pool. She loved it.

And got quite wild on it.... going on her tummy and backwards.

Yep, she loved it!

You know what else she loved. The sprinkler that soaked everyone in a 20 foot radius! That was HILARIOUS. I don't think that I have seen my parents move that fast in a while, maybe ever!

Finally, it was time to head inside and open more gifts from my sister and the kids. She got the Bitty Feeding set. Can you tell that she likes it???

And a high chair to feed her babies in.

Since then Morgan has the best fed babies in the land!

It was a great day and Morgan LOVED staying at home and playing most of the day.

Now, I know that Chris has done a much better job of recapping Miss Linds B-day, but I promise to get the final post in this week, hopefully.....
