100th Post / Blog Make-over Celebration!!!

What better way to celebrate my 100th post than with an Extreme Blog Makeover?!?!?! I have toyed with the idea of getting some help with my blog for a while, but in the end I just couldn't justify spending the money, until I found Nikki. She is a college student who raises money for her humanitarian trip and other charities by helping people make-over their blogs. I fell immediately in love with this month's charity. You should go check out her link on my sidebar. I highly recommend her and as a plus....she is VERY fast!!! I love my new look!!!

And I couldn't very well post my 100th post without a picture of my girl! Me & Morgan have been through so much this last year together. I couldn't imagine my life again without her. She is the one who taught me the true meaning of my new blog.

She is my EVERYTHING!!!!

Free at Last!!!

Ok girls, sorry to leave you hanging. Morgan did get her cast off on Tuesday. She was so excited. I thought that I was going to have to drag her out of the bath tub that night! I was really scared that her arm would be all small and shriveled looking, but it really wasn't. Her skin didn't fair too well though. She has a contact rash on her arm and it is very dry as well. She does have to wear a sling while around other kids for a week or two. I am thinking that we will be lucky to keep it on a week. Luckily, Morgan doesn't have to wear her sling at home or when she isn't around other kids. She is loving it!
I took some pics last night and here she is showing off her freed arm.

She just wiggles and wiggles it and then laughs and laughs.

And I just think that this one is adorable so I will add it to the mix. This is SOOOO Morgan!!

I also failed to tell you guys about the court date. To make a very long story short.....it got cancelled. Now, we are thinking that around July we will go to court and it will be a combination hearing for the aunt's placement request and TPR (termination of parents rights). So, this will be long and ugly. I just keep thinking that that gives us 3 more months to PRAY!!!

Here is one with a nice view of our "pretty" pink cast.

And this one is for Molly Polly, Morgan's most Favorite person in the WHOLE world!!!

Blogger Blah's

Ok girls, I definitely have a bad case of the blogger blah's. I am sure that it has been brought on by the fact that my computer isn't exactly functioning right now and I have no capability of uploading pics at work. I did want to get on here and let you guys know that we are still alive and kickin'. The biggest news would have to be that Morgan broke her elbow Feb 21st. That event was very shortly followed by a near nervous breakdown for me worrying if her mother was going to have me thrown in jail or not. Luckily she decided not to care so I have slowly recovered. Morgan's broken arm hasn't phased her in the least. She still does everything she did before she just doesn't like other kids running at her now. I wish that I could give you girls some pics because her little pink cast is adorable. Much improvement from the first orange and pink striped one, which is a whole other story for a different day!

I wanted to let you girls know that we go to court for a very important hearing tomorrow at 9am. Without getting into too many details, Morgan's great-aunt is petioning the court for custody of Morgan. She has already had like 5 home studies done on her and every one of them were denied. So, we can't imagine that the judge would decide in her favor BUT you never know what they will do. So, with all of that being said, I am calling all prayer warriors to pray for Morgan's well being today and tomorrow. Please if nothing else say a quickie when you finish reading this. Thanks to all of you blogger girlie's who are always there to uplift and encourage me! I love ya!

Happy 1 Year!!!

Well, I can hardly believe it girls. It has been one year since I met Miss Morgie. My life has been fuller and filled with more love than I ever could have imagined for the last year. It doesn't feel like a year at all. I remember the call from my resource worker like it was yesterday. She called about 3:50 as I was packing up and getting ready to leave work for the day and asked me if I was ready and then said she had a blond haired, blue eyed angel for me. I have always been intrigued by the grandmother on Hope Floats that tells her grandkids "my cup runneth over" when she is happy. I loved the saying but I just never got how you could say it and mean it really. Well since that day a year ago I GET IT!! I get it because every day whether it is hard or easy Morgan makes my feel like my cup runneth over! I told her this morning that I saw her for the very first time a year ago today (of course she has no concept of this) and that it was love at first sight. She just giggled. I said, "Do you know what that means? That means that I loved you from the very first time that I saw you!" She loved that and just kept on repeating it over and over. We had extra snuggle time this morning and Morgie seemed to want extra petting and affection.....like she somehow knew that this day was sentimental to me and I needed it. Oh my, I just love this girl!!!

I put together this slideshow from her last year. The first few pics are the very first night that I got her. The last were taken just 2 nights ago to put in Valentine cards. Enjoy, but I warn you it is long!!!

Farewell party for Maddie

Today, we went to Maddie's going away party at the Big Cheese's. It was so sad. I didn't expect that it would be just as hard as when she left my house. I started bawling as soon as I saw her. All the what if's started to roll through my mind. Ughh....after about 10 minutes I pulled it together and didn't tear up again. We really did have fun and I am so thankful that her current foster parents are so sweet and invited us to come and allowed Bethie and her kiddies to come too. This is Maddie and her foster Daddy with her crown on.

They had a cake, which her foster mom was not going to let Maddie have any, Maddie had her own plans....

She successfully got into it twice! And her Mimi & Papa let her have cake and pizza when the parents weren't looking!!! The kids had so much fun. This is Morgan up on the big screen.

And I really thought that Maddie would hate this guy, but she LOVED him! All the kids did. He literally couldn't get away from them!

This is the Andersons' other foster child, Tristan. They got him about 2 months ago and he is completely adorable! DFCS wants to make him and Morgan their poster kids!

Livi & Morgan got to play some together. Of course, they loved that.

The last ride of the evening....

Morgan loving on her Maddie. She just can't get enough of her.

I'll leave you with a pic of the baby girl that I will always wonder about. The one that will forever feel like mine. I still wonder how people do this for years and years and say good-bye to so many. Sometimes I think that I will never get over losing Maddie. It does help to know that she is going to a great home and is going to be immensely loved. Ughhh....I gotta stop the tears have come back again!!!!

Sweet, sweet angel girl!
