Morgan's love of Minnie Mouse

These are some of the pics that I have taken over the last week. When I was downloading them I noticed one thing. In just about every single one Morgan is walking around with either Minnie Mouse or Mickey Mouse! So, I thought that I would dedicate this post to Morgans' love of all things Mouse! Morgan is so obsessed with Minnie that her favorite church dress is her favorite simply because it has white polka dots on it......why you ask???? Hello! Minnie's dress has white polks dots on it!!!!

Below are a few pictures of her new Minnie Mouse pillow....which she begs to take everywhere......but I beg and plead to please bring the little Mickey & Minnie's, PLEASE!!!

This morning we were ready to go to church and I usually let Morgan pick which baby to bring. She usually will settle for the little Minnie & Mickey because if she picks them then I let her bring them both. But not this morning, we had to lug the Mommy Minnie Mouse (as Morgan calls her).

A question that every parent asks themselves about 50 times a day......is it worth the fight???

This picture answers that question. Who could say no to this?!?!?!?!?!? Only a stronger woman than me could come between her favorite girl and her favorite Mouse!!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Luke!

Tomorrow Mr Luke turns the big 2!! His Mickey Mouse Birthday Bash was last Saturday and we had loads of fun! Here is Luke tearing into one of his presents.

I think the little man got EVERYTHING anyone could find with Mickey on it! He even got Mickey crocs! Morgan was extremely jealous of this next present. She has been eyeing it for about a month and Christmas is a long time away!!!

The balloons were a hit as with any party.

These are a few of my favorite things.....

Saturday was a day of many of Morgan's favorite things. She started out the morning playing with her cart. Her obsession for this toy is kinda like......Kade's old obsession for Thomas (which he almost needed rehab for, that boy was all about it!), David's new obsession with Thomas (and driving his mama nuts with choo-choo's), and Joe's blanket (ick). Get my point?? I think that I have figured out that it is theraputic for her. It makes her feel in control of a life that to her feels completely out of her control. If we are at home she is either watching Mickey Mouse or pushing this cart around. And now she has added putting the baby in her car seat and putting her on top of the cart (cause that is where baby Maddie used to shop). These kids are smart cookies I tell ya!

Then I saw her do this and I cracked up! For some reason when being pushed in the buggy Morgan always wants to hold onto my neck, like to make sure that I am not going anywhere. Well, apparently she was doing the same for her baby and this picture proves it.

So, after about 2-3 hours of around and around and around with the cart she was exhausted and took an early nap per her request. When she woke up 2 of her favorite cuz's came over to play in the water with her. She was very excited to see Chey and Isreal (emphasis on the isRAYel according to Morgan). Here she is running through the sprinkler ring.

And finally we cleaned up and went out to eat with the family to eat all of Morgan's favorite's, mashed potatoes, green beans, biscuits, and ice cream! And she got to wear her Bulldog dress! She points out Bulldogs everywhere now. Even in the parking lot when you walk by a car that has a UGA liscense plate! EVERYwhere! Too funny.

All in all Morgan had a great Saturday with a few of her favorite things! And be honest....who is singing with Julie Andrews right now?!?!?!

My Little Cowgirl

Morgan saw a pair of boots in a store a month or so ago and she really wanted them. I thought that it was odd because she has never asked for anything in a store. I didn't get them but she continued to talk about them. I found a cute pair of boots at a consignment sale and bought them to see if she would really like to wear boots or not.......YEAH........ummmmm......L-O-V-E-S them!!!!!! Absolutely refuses to take them off (kinda like Joe's bowling shoes). Here are some quick shots of Morgie sproting her new favorite boots!

I don't know what she is doing here.....kinda looks like a SuperMan pose or something....maybe she is inventing her own new superhero.....

Some Dawgs & Cracker Barrel

Much to my dismay when I went to put Morgan's new Dawgs shirt on her this morning it was WAY too big! She was so disappointed. I had been telling her that today was the big day that she could wear her Dawg shirt, she loves it. Somehow we did manage to survive...I'll definitely have to find one before next weekend though! We went and picked up my Mommy and my Sis and headed for the mall to Morgan's favorite store, The Disney Store and to LifeWay to pick up the new Karen Kingsbury book. We ended up at Cracker Barrel, Yummy! And luckily I had my camera so I could at least show the home team some support. I loved these rocking chairs!

Family Update

To update those of you who I don't talk to daily, Maddie is no longer with us. To make a very long and painful story as to the point as it can be.....her mother moved to another county and they are transferring Madison there. I have had a very difficult 2 weeks and I hope that everyone will keep me in their prayers. I always knew that I would get kids and that they would go, but these circumstances made it very difficult to accept. Morgan has now named her doll that she has always called baby Maddie and she says at least once a day that the police came to get Maddie......which by the way they didn't. I have to reassure her that they didn't and that Madison is safe with people who love her.

On another note I think that everyone is starting to see some of the things that I have been telling them about Morgan and now in addition to her once a week therapy session she is going to have additional in home play therapy every week when they find someone to do it. They are looking into raising her level of care and I it is doubtful that they will place another child in my home with Morgan here.

So, forgive me for my absence but a lot has been going on. Please keep me and Morgan in your prayers and also remember Maddie as I know that she will forever be in mine.

Maddie's Discovery

In the last few weeks Madison has discovered her toes. She loves them and loves to feast on them. I took these a few nights ago after her bath. She loves to lay with no clothes on!

Hey, Look what I found!

No one told me about these things. I have been missing out! Toys that travel everywhere with me....who knew?!?! And so tasty too!

After a while she gets bored of the effort it takes and decides just to chew on a finger instead. It is much less work!

I took Madison to the Pediatric Gastrologist and he ordered her an upper GI to be done on Monday afternoon. She threw up all over his office and he just couldn't believe that she throws up like that constantly....I believe his exact wording was...."That's impressive!" I was like yeah tell me about it! I am hopeful that we will find out what is wrong with her so that we can get it fixed. I worry so much that she isn't getting the nutrition that she needs. He couldn't believe that she threw up solids too. And just in case you are wondering it has taken me like an hour to write this blog because I have had to change me and her three times in an hour! Thank goodness for onesies!!!!!!
