Exhibit A
Now, I am going to let the small fact that her clothes don't match pass, so she really doesn't look that bad....right???? Lets get a closer look.....
Obviously they have used her for a personal drawing board right??? And that is marker on her face too....if you were wondering! I guess it still isn't that bad, right?
Exhibit C

See the marker on the sides of her hands and all up her arms??? Well let me just assure you that these pictures don't do the havoc justice! On top of all of this her hair looked like she had jumped in a swimming pool! In all honesty this is a far cry from the worst. Lets see if I can think back....2 weeks ago she came home in a pair of jean overalls in the 90 degree heat. AND they were a size 24 months, but the best part has got to be that the shirt was a 12 months!!!! I thought that I was going to have to cut it off her! Ummmmm, is anyone forgetting that Morgan is 3!!!!! ERGH! Last Friday she came home in a get-up that can best be summed up by Morgan's parent aide who said that I needed to take her home and change her that she looked like "an 80's street walker." MY POOR, POOR baby!!!!! I think that her mom gets pride in seeing just how far back she can take her to looking like the homeless, dirty little girl that they brought to my house 6 months ago. She does a pretty good job. You would think that she would like Morgan looking all cute and neat..not so much! To top it all off, Morgan hates it. She gets in the car and starts "I want it off" talking about the marker. She now says, "My other Mommy draw on me."
I guess that I just needed to rant about her in some form because she (Morgan's birth mother) did something unspeakable last week that will affect me for a long time. I can't really tell anyone what it was but imagine the worst thing...and then multiply it by 5....or maybe 10! I'll let your imagination run with you....
In other news Maddie went for her check-up last Thursday and she weighs 13lbs 5ozs now. I have to take her to a Ped's Gastro Dr tomorrow in Atlanta. I am not looking forward to that!
So, I will ask you girls to keep me in your prayers. I am seriously thinking that these might be my last kids. I won't give them back and will ride it out, but I don't know if I can do it all over again at this point. It is something that I will have to think long and hard about.

Mel, you really are doing an amazing job with the girls. They are so much better off because of you. I can understand your frustration. I can't believe that her birth mother would do that to her. I hope all goes well at the doctor tomorrow. I will keep you all in my prayers too.
Ditto to what Katie said! You're doing AWESOME! There are just NO words for the other.
On the brighter side...here's hoping you get some good sleep tonight and make it to ATL tomorrow with NO trouble.
Good Luck :)
Goodness. It breaks my heart for the both of you.Its pretty clear that she is very negatively affected by the visits when the first thing she says is "get it off". I am so sorry both of you have to deal with this.
Mel you are doing an awesome job with the girls. Kids like this need you to show them that there are normal things in this world. Keep up the good work and I will be praying for you. Call me if you need to talk.
“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
Let God be your strength... and never, ever forget...
Hi Melanie,
I think you are doing an amazing job! I read your blog updates everytime you post and I really admire you. Carly has to see a ped. gastro doc as well. There is only one practice in Atlanta so I am sure you are going to the same one. If you need to talk or need advice concerning that, just e-mail or call.

Mel, you broke my heart. You're doing such a great job with those girls, what a shame Morgan's mother is sabotaging it. We'll keep you in our prayers.
Thanks for all of your kind and thoughtful words of encouragement ladies. And thanks for the invite to call if I need to talk Christie. I loved the dr that I saw today! It always helps alot when you feel like they really care about your kids. I saw Dr Patel today.
You are such a sweet spirit! What you have done for these girls, no earthly words can express! You guys are still in my prayers, and I thank God that the girls are safe, healthy, and well taken care of!
Hope the appointment went well. Now I see what you mean about picking her up. I could tell from the first pic that she didn't look like the Morgan that I normally see.
